Yorkshire & the Humber Third Sector Procurement Network Needs Your Help!

A new network that has recently set up in our region. The Yorkshire and Humber Third Sector Procurement Network was originally borne out of a small number of organisations getting together to discuss issues, advice, support and guidance available on the public sector commissioning and procurement agenda, and how our sector can actively engage with and secure contract opportunities in Yorkshire and Humber.
Since November last year membership numbers have grown, and the network now encompasses a diverse range of partners including Regional Forum, Social Investment Business, NAVCA, and Fit4Funding to name a few.
The network has set up its terms of reference, meets regularly, and has produced a draft action plan for the work it wants to achieve over the coming year and beyond.
In order for us to plan future work and set detailed objectives and priorities we need to understand what support, advice, guidance and training is already being offered to frontline organisations in our region so they can effectively engage with the public sector and secure contract opportunities.
We also need to identify where there are gaps in provision, and develop relevant support or training in order to address those gaps.
Once we have this information we will have a clearer picture of the support available to the sector, and the linkages support organisations have with both frontline providers and public sector purchasers.
We can also identify where there are gaps or additional needs within the sector, and work together to offer solutions.
So, on behalf of the network, I would be extremely grateful if you could assist us to achieve this by completing our online questionnaire.
In order for us to develop and support the sector we need to know what the issues, barriers, and frustrations are, as well as where the opportunities, good practice and collaborative working is.
Your organisation is a key stakeholder in this agenda, and has a wealth of knowledge, experience, understanding and contacts within the sector that can help us achieve this.
