Foodaware Community Interest Company Celebrate Success

We are extremely pleased to announce the success of our latest training programme funded by Humber Learning Consortium Community Grants. 20 trainees successfully passed their Fork Lift Truck Counter-Balance Training (with great support and thanks to our FLT Instructor, Mark Hague of MSH Training). Nine SA Foyer clients took this course and at least three of them have left the Foyer and moved into work as a direct result of the training achievement and work experience we have provided. Well done guys!
Also, we recently ran a CIEH Level 2 Food Safety in Catering training course and again, everyone who attended passed with flying colours! Thanks to Peter Clarke who did a stirling job! We also invited Amanda from Ways2Work to come along and talk to everyone about their Information Advice & Guidance (IAG) service and a number of appointments have been booked in the diary for individuals to further develop themselves.
We celebrated our successes on 11th June at SAHA Foyer and everyone enjoyed a nice lunch and refreshments. Many thanks to Niall, Mary and the HLC team in Hull for helping to make this happen and also to Chris Lambert, Training Co-ordinator at SAHA Foyer who has been instrumental in grasping the opportunities for many SAHA Foyer clients to better themselves.
