Turning ideas into sustainability .... A Free Course!!
23rd April 2007
Many social enterprises are very dependent on grants for their survival. This is ok while there is plenty of money to be distributed to worthy social enterprises. However, there are now clear indications that the money is “drying up”.
This means that all social enterprises should try to reduce their grant dependency as much as possible if they are to be certain to survive the rigors of the coming years. In essence, this means they have to develop additional income streams to replace the grants that are likely to be lost.
Easier said than done!
In order to develop new income streams to replace those being lost? We need the following:
1. Ideas for new fee earning services or products
2. A positive can do psychology
3. A process to enable us to assess and develop ideas
4. A market orientation to discern what our customers need
5. Training in the above
Here is where the new Social Enterprise Innovation Programme offered by Business Link South Yorkshire can help. This free programme, consisting of 8 half day workshops, will be delivered by Excalibur (UK) Ltd a company experienced in assisting social enterprises to innovate and will guide your manager(s) to:
