Social Enterprise Yorkshire & the Humber - Expansion of Membership and Ownership
17th December 2007
Membership and Shareholding Registration of Interest
Social Enterprise Yorkshire & Humber (SEYH) has been established by ten
leading stakeholders in the region’s social economy. It is a virtual
organisation, employing no staff and delivering its work through a combination
of Members, commissioning and the internet. Our aim is to expand our
ownership and membership base to all social enterprises across the region.
The aim of SEYH is to create a low cost, high value regional voice for the
sector, to provide practical assistance and information to social enterprises
whilst promoting and celebrating the strength and diversity of the sector in
Yorkshire and The Humber. For further information on SEYH, our case
studies, research and news reports visit www.seyh.org.uk
We are seeking registrations of interest from organisations wishing to become
members of SEYH. Through our share capital company status membership
and ownership will be connected. We believe that social enterprises in the
region should own the regional network.
We will be issuing shares in the company at a value of £50 per share, with a
maximum of 20 shares per organisation. This will invest ownership in our
membership and create some operating capital. Membership requests will be
processed in January 2008 to be followed by a new members meeting in
February 2008.If you are interested in joining SEYH please contact:
