Next Steps to Sustainability - Workshops and Visits
2nd January 2009
Charity Bank in the North’s Investment Readiness Programme offers a comprehensive and practical programme of support to organisations interested in exploring issues around sustainability.
The Next steps to sustainability part of the Programme consists of a series of workshops and visits, which explore in greater depth key issues that organisations need to consider when planning for sustainability.
The three Next steps to sustainability workshops are:
Opportunity Knocks: Here we take a practical approach to helping you to identify and make the most of opportunities to generate sustainable sources of income.
Organising for Success: Here we look at how an appropriate legal structure – and good governance – can play a crucial part in working towards sustainability.
Sustainability Healthcheck: Here we show you how to run a healthcheck on your organisation’s finances so that you can gain a clear picture of current issues – and identify areas for further work in reaching sustainability.
The workshops, run with the University of Huddersfield, will be delivered in venues throughout Yorkshire during 2009. We have also organised a series of visits to leading third sector organisations which have taken big steps towards financial sustainability.
Combining presentations by Chief Executives with behind-the-scenes tours, networking and warts-and all Q & A sessions, these visits could really be the eyeopener that you’re looking for.
