The course is, therefore, suitable for practitioners and for those who manage and train practitioners.  The qualification is currently being updated to reflect the new standards and the content is therefore slightly different from that advertised in the VAS Training Programme:

How this course works:

This course enables you to achieve a full Level 3 qualification (240 hours) through a combination of 8 days face-to-face learning plus distance learning with support from online tutors and the Learning Community.  No special computer equipment is needed, though participants must have reliable access to the Internet and an email address.  The Certificate is evidence-based, which means participants must demonstrate that they have understood the content of the course and are able to apply it to their roles at work. This evidence is gathered through a combination of assignments and online discussions, which are completed and assessed through the Internet site.
