Communities for Health Training Programme - How to access contracts to meet the community's needs

22nd April 2010

Communities for Health Training Programme

Have you ever wondered how Third Sector organisations can access contracts to meet the community’s needs whilst meeting NHS and DMBC priorities?

To help you answer this question Doncaster CVS will be running a series of information and workshops sessions from April 2010 - March 2011.  This has been made possible with funding from the Department of Health Communities for Health funding via DMBC.

The aim of the information and training sessions:-

•    To improve the knowledge of Third Sector organisations of health inequalities and their role in supporting local communities to promote healthier lifestyles to improve health.

•    To equip Doncaster’s Third Sector organisations to gain the confidence, capacity and capability to potentially win and deliver contracted activities.

The first session will be on 27th April 9.30-12.00 looking at Health Inequalities and the role Third Sector organisations can play in supporting local communities to promote healthier lifestyles to improve health.  NHS Doncaster and DMBC will talk about their responsibilities with regard to health inequality and working with Third Sector organisations.

The course is free but places are limited.

To book a place please contact:  Nicola Dixon on Tel: 01302 343300 ext 229 or email: learning@doncastercvs.org.uk
